We got two reports from two separate individuals on 13th April. In his complaint, one person, Kashinath, said he received a call from an unknown person saying to update the Paytm KYC and also asked him to tell OTPs that Kashinath had received on his mobile number. He then told him the OTP, and later the fraudster withdrawn Rs 1.03 lakh from his bank account, "said KVM Prasad, Cyber Crimes Additional DCP.

In the second incident, the man paid money in advance to buy a pre-owned car on a web portal but later found he had been duped. One Moin said he noticed a car on the OLX website for sale and contacted the number provided on the site and asked the individual concerned to sell the car to him. The individual then told him, if Moin decides to buy the car, to pay 60,000 in advance. Moin believed him and sent him the amount, and later there was no response from him when he tried to contact him, "added the DCP.

The case has been reported by police, and investigation in both cases is underway.
