29 New Coronavirus cases take UPs total to 361

Twenty-nine fresh cases of Covid-19 were registered Wednesday in Uttar Pradesh, including 16 Tablighis Jamaat. The total number of patients suffering from coronavirus now stands at 361, according to the state government. Of the 361 cases, 195 were related to the Tablighi Jamaat event in the Nizamuddin area of Delhi. The congregation was held in early March in Delhi's Nizamuddin area, and several people who attended and then traveled to various parts of the country tested the coronavirus positive.

Yogi Govt announces sealing of hotspots


So far, after recovery, 31 patients have been discharged. Twelve people were recovered in Noida, eight in Agra, five in Lucknow, three in Ghaziabad, and one each in Kanpur, Shamli, and Pilibhit. 

Uttar Pradesh has also registered 4 till now linked to coronavirus. At Meerut, Basti, Varanasi and Agra one each.

Meanwhile, the Yogi Adityanath government has ordered sealing of Covid-19 hotspots in 15 districts until April 15 in the wake of increasing coronavirus cases in the state. 

All essential services must be provided at home, and no one will be able to travel out of these areas except police, health workers, and people who provide vital products.

Lucknow, Agra, Ghaziabad, Gautambudh Nagar (Noida), Kanpur, Varanasi, Shamli, Meerut, Bareilly, Bulandshahar, Firozabad, Maharajganj, Sitapur, Saharanpur, and Basti are the fifteen districts where hotspots were found.
