Pre Installed Aarogya Setu App

Soon consumers won't have to download India's touch tracing device Aarogya Setu manually because it will be installed by default on smartphones. In all his recent speeches, Prime Minister Modi had urged users to download the Aarogya Setu app, as this would help to curb coronavirus spread.

The app will be pre-installed on all of the phones early, according to a report published. A report from a mobile maker and another from the Manufacturers Association for Information Technology (MAIT) reported Mint's news. Earlier, the government had asked the smartphone makers to install the app by default but it wasn't possible as the manufacturing of the smartphones was halted due to the nationwide lockdown. However, the reports state that the smartphone makers will start working on it as soon as the manufacturing resumes.
