Airtel offers Free Disney Hotstar Subscription.

The streaming app recently arrived in India to compete with the existing online streaming websites such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, and local apps like Zee5 and many others. With this new plan, Airtel aims to target the audience who are under complete lockdown due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The pack not only provides a free subscription to the Disney+ at no extra cost but also gives data benefits.

The new Airtel Rs 401 plan has its boons and banes too. On the one hand, it might attract the customers with a free subscription to a streaming app while, on the other hand, it can put off customers for not providing any calling or SMS benefits. Yes, the Rs 401 data pack doesn’t provide voice calling and SMS benefits. The plan only provides 3GB data per day for 28 days, but the free subscription that it provides is valid for 365 days.

The customers planning to recharge their numbers with Rs 401 plan should know that they can only avail of this plan once a year. “Customers will be able to recharge with this pack only once in 360 days to avoid wrong selling & customer issues,” Airtel was quoted by Telecom Talk as saying.

The Disney+ Hotstar VIP costs Rs 399 a year, but if you are an Airtel subscriber, you can avail of this plan as it would also provide data benefits up to 3GB per day. And even when your prepaid plan gets over, the subscription to the streaming app will remain valid for 365 days. Airtel also asserted that the customers could recharge their numbers with any other plan on the top of the Rs 401 prepaid plan.

Also, Airtel has a Rs 398 prepaid plan that provides free Amazon Prime Subscription. However, the advantage of the pack is that it also offers 3GB data per day along with free voice calling and SMS benefits, unlike the Rs 401 prepaid plan, which has been launched recently. The plan has a validity of 28 days. It is also to be noted that Amazon Prime if subscribed separately, would cost one Rs 999, but under this plan, the airtel customers get it only for Rs 398 with added benefits.
