Apple iPhone 9 launch likely pegged for April 15

According to sources, the affordable iPhone 9, iPhone SE 2016 successor, is expected to come with a $349 or $399 price tag. One of the anticipated smartphones of the year is the forthcoming Apple iPhone 9, successor to the 2016 iPhone SE. Due to the coronavirus outbreak its launch was delayed. Earlier, Apple was scheduled to announce its range of new 2020 items on April 5, including its mid-range iPhone 9.

If the tweet lends some credence, the company chaired an internal meeting and decided on April 15 that the iPhone 9 would see the light of day, while shipments would commence on April 22.

However, as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread around the globe, it remains uncertain if the tech company is preparing to host an online launch case, or will simply reveal their products via a press release.

As mentioned, the affordable iPhone will likely come with a price tag of between $349 or $399. A 4.7-inch LCD with the same, widescreen bezels seen on the iPhone 8, and a capacitive Touch ID sensor on the front is also expected to feature the iPhone SE-successor.
