Belagavi Police Assault CRPF COBRA commando. Karnataka Police Say He Kicked a Constable

CRPF Additional Director General writes a letter to DGP of Karnataka requesting to arrange an inquiry into the matter where Constable Sachin Savant of CoBRA was arrested by Belagavi Police on Apr 23 on alleged charges of violating lockdown conditions. He violated the general norms which are implemented by the government under Curfew Conditions. Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). This protective force has written a letter to Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Praveen Sood.

CRPF Additional Director General  - DGP of Karnataka - Belagavi Police Assault

Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) a unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) written a letter to Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Praveen Sood stating that the requesting inquiry wherein Constable Sachin Savant of CoBRA Bn was arrested by Belagavi Police on Apr 23 on alleged charges of violating lockdown norms.

As per the CRPF statement, the state police informed them that Savant was outside his home to wash his bike, and not wearing a mask and police personnel on duty asked him why he was not wearing a face mask. He started the altercation with the beat constable and another policeman assaulted. His photograph goes viral on social media and also available with CRPF shows Savant handcuffed in a local police station.
