Cancer Institute of New Delhi has been closed after 18 health workers tested positive

The Delhi State Cancer Institute (DSCI) is under shutdown after 18 of the health care workers were being tested positive for Coronavirus. The authorities are arranging to shift the 19 cancer patient who was being admitted to the hospital to the private hospital.

18 health workers tested positive in DSCI

The medical superintendent of DSCI Dr. BL Sherwal said that “As a precautionary measure, we have shut down some facilities of the hospital for conducting the sanitization. And we are making some arrangements for shifting all the 19 cancer patients to the other hospital.”

She also said that “before sending these cancer patients to the other facilities, we are testing them for the Coronavirus. It is because they are immune-compromised patients, and they have high chances of getting COVID-19 the easily catch an infection. If their reports are adverse, then they will be shifted to another hospital.

In the meanwhile, the necessary treatments have been given for the 18 health workers who were tested positive. Protection Status
