CBIC IT Department Warns Against Fake GST Refund Messages
Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and the Income Tax department warned taxpayers not to reply or to click links in the fake messages on GST Refunds. The board asked the people to be careful with any tax refund message. Fraudsters may also pose as tax officials and can send a fake email asking to urgently verify or update the account.
