Chennai Express - a Moral Example

Several state and local police forces are coming up with creative methods of raising awareness about the novel coronavirus epidemic. Right from bhangra acting, singing songs to posting funny videos-Indian police forces are doing all they can to empower people. Nagpur Police recently took to Twitter to urge people to exercise social distancing. The way they did it, though, is quite interesting.

Remember the dialog from the film Chennai Express "Don't underestimate the power of a common man?" In the aftermath of the novel coronavirus epidemic, Nagpur Police changed the same dialog to impart the value of social distancing. We substituted 'ordinary guy' in the dialogue, with 'social distancing.' The official Twitter handle of Nagpur police posted a still from the film in which Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone can be seen sitting apart on a bench. "Don't underestimate the power of social Social Distancing," said the caption.

The tweet has received more than 600 likes since it was released. Netizens are very fascinated by Chennai Express influenced post by Nagpur Police. In some emails, they fell in to share their opinions on the matter.
