Col Martyred of the decorated army, top LeT commander assassinated in Handwara

On Sunday, 3 May, after an Overnight Encounter with Terrorists, at least five security workers lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir's Handwara.

An attack by the terrorists 

Four Indian military staff were killed, including 21 Rashtriya Rifles Commander, Major, two soldiers, and a Jammu and Kashmir policeman. The forces killed two terrorists, too.

A top Lashkar-e taiba commander from Pakistan, IG Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, said to ANI, one of the terrorists killed was identified. One was killed. Major Anuj Sood (19 guards), NK Rajesh (3 guards), LNK Dinesh (17 guards), and Sub-Inspector Shakeel Qazi (J&K police) were identified. The others were identified. Based on the information received by terrorists, the military and JK Police launched a combined operation in the Handwara district of Changimulla, and the army spokesman quoted the ANI. 

"The team was exposed to a high volume of terrorist fire during the process. Two terrorist operatives were eliminated during the following firefight, and a team of five soldiers, two officers of the armed forces, two soldiers of the army and one sub-inspector of J&K Police, were martyred, "he said. The fire between security forces and activists is planned to start around 3.30 a.m.
