Coronavirus: BCG Vaccine gives hope in Covid-19 fight?

BCG, a tuberculosis vaccine provided by millions in India in childhood, may be the latest hope in combating coronavirus, which has killed more than 80,000 people worldwide. A recent study suggests that the mortality rate in individuals vaccinated with BCG is much lower. Researchers are studying the BCG or Bacille Calmette-Guerin vaccine to see whether it improves the immune system and also to reduce respiratory symptoms in people who get new infections with coronavirus.
