With the latest ones, Dharavi now has 138 positive cases in total. Civic officials said six were registered from Fatima Chawl among the cases in Dharavi, which include a 7-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl. All four incidents in Mahim were high-risk encounters of Khar police station's 31-year-old constable. Eighteen new cases have been identified from different parts of G North district, including slums in Worli and Jijamata Nagar. However, no new deaths were registered on Sunday in the ward.

Officials from the state health department said a total of 552 new cases were reported across the state, making it the largest increase in a single day. Civic officials, as well as the Department of Health, said the number increase could be due to confirmation of test results that have been completed in the last few days. Of the total of 11 deaths recorded on Sunday in the state, six are from Mumbai, four from Malegaon, and one from Solapur and Ahmednagar each.

Civic officials reported that only two were senior citizens among the six deaths recorded on Sunday in the area. The six COVID-19 patients died between 17-19 April, and a 26-year-old who suffered from hypothyroidism was the youngest casualty among them. The city currently has 132 deaths in total. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra has reached 4,200, and 507 patients have been discharged until the date of complete recovery. Protection Status
