In India, 109 people have died of coronavirus, with 32 dying and 693 fresh cases alone, the highest so far in the last 24 hours. The Union Health Ministry's latest figures take the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,067 cases in the country above the 4,000-mark. It is for the fourth consecutive day that India has reported a 500-plus rise in cases. More than 1,000 of India's total cases, or nearly 30% of the total, are related to last month's Islamic sect Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi's Nizamuddin area.

3. Sunday Health Ministry said the coronavirus cases in India are doubling every 4.1 days, and the pace could have been slower (at 7.1 days) if the Delhi mosque event-attended by thousands from India and abroad-hadn't been conducted.

4. Nearly a third of all Covid-19 reported cases in India were related to the Tablighi Jamaat, the Health Ministry said on Saturday, further adding that these cases had spread to at least 17 states and union territories.

5. Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh, and Jharkhand have registered cases linked to the Tablighi Jamaat.

6. Today: day 14 of the 21-day lockdown that PM Modi has announced to control the spread of the virus.

7. For this time span, all domestic and international commercial passenger flights were suspended. The government is likely to allow phased domestic and international flight operations post the 21-day lockdown duration that is scheduled to end on April 14, news agency PTI citing officials as they say on Sunday.

8. The government released details of an aggressive plan to counter the spread of the COVID-19 virus, including options to announce buffer zones and seal high-risk areas for as long as a month.

9. 1.2 million people worldwide have been infected, and almost 66,000 have been killed.

10. US President Donald Trump spoke to PM Modi on Saturday, asking India to allow the export of anti-malarial tablets for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. India had stopped selling this drug, and its variants. The US reported more than three lakh cases and 8,000 deaths as of Sunday.
