COVID-19 Lockdown: Health Minister of Maharashtra thanks Shah Rukh Khan as he donated 25,000 PPE kits

As the entire country continues to fight the COVID 19 epidemic, the name of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan has been added to a list of prominent individuals to help the front-line staff fight the deadly infection.

Thank you note for Shah Rukh Khan

In the state Maharashtra Department of Health for the Protection of Physicians and Health Staff, the ace actor has received 25,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits. However, only when the Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare, Maharashtra, Rajesh Tope, gave him thanks on Twitter was Khan's generous contribution made clear.

"Thank you, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan for a kind donation of 25,000 PPE kits to our fight against COVID19 and to our health care team," read Tope's tweet Monday. "These will be very useful for our efforts.

In response, Khan expressed his appreciation for "sourcing the kits" and said he was standing at the hour of need with all the others. "Thank you, sir, for all your help in bringing the kits to light. We are all in this endeavor to defend ourselves and humanity. I'm pleased that you will serve.

A look at the Twitter profile of the leading actor also shows that he has played an active role in reaching authorities and helping to raise fighting COVID-19 across the world.
