The troubled conversation about how rape culture is normalized and has been around for a while now and yet, incidents of women getting brutally raped all around the world make it to headlines almost every day.

What hit the headlines?

An alleged group chats between a bunch of 16 or 17 years old boys where they talk apparently about gangraping girls and sharing morphed pictures of minors. The matter was put on the spotlight after a Twitter user posted a screenshot of their Snapchat conversation claiming that the boys are Delhi-based school-going students. The group members claimed Ashnaa Sharma, a Delhi-based influencer with nearly 27,000 followers on the photo-sharing app.

Soon, the news spread on Twitter, too, and #boyslockerroom began trending. A few users even claimed to have gone to school with some of the chat group's members.

The user further added that the boys had another group on Instagram by the name of 'Boys Locker Room' where they 'casually' discussed rape. She also alleged that two of the boys from the chat were students of the same school she goes to. Protection Status
