Google: Launches new Optimize tools to keep your website updated

Google has launched new Optimize tools and some helpful tips in a move to help businesses keep their customers updated about working hours or services that have changed due to Covid-19.

Google said in a statement on Monday, "We have temporarily removed this restriction for the next 90 days so you can make as many changes to your platform as you need until July 31. If you don't have an Optimize account already, you can build one here for free." 

According to the tech giant, once you sign into your Optimize account, you can attach a message to the top of your site by clicking on "Attach a banner." "You can use our templated banner or customize it by changing colour, size, and text. You can also choose on which pages of your site the banner should be displayed, e.g., just the homepage or on every page of your site," the tech giant informed.

Google launched a new way of immediately displaying a details banner at the top of the website last week.

Google said: Let's say you're a San Francisco-based clothing retailer and deliver speedy delivery to customers within the region. Optimize will help you view a custom banner that highlights faster delivery only to San Francisco-based users.

It may be that the commonly asked questions vary from what they were last year. Make sure this page shows what's currently at the top of your mind for your customers, "Google said. Sending longer messages to your customers that show fine on your desktop, but on mobile devices, they will probably be too long. Limit your messages to under 50 characters on your web app and, if they wish, allow users to close the post, "the company told.
