Google will not be creating any April fools day jokes this year due to Coronavirus Crisis

Google has reported that they were asked to cancel their plans for April fool's day jokes of 2020, either it is internal or external.

No April fools day jokes

Google will not be trying to fool the world with its April 1 jokes this yes dure to the outbreak of coronavirus around the globe. Google has been very consistent in making the light-hearted April fools day jokes in the past years, but According to an internal email, the company will not be following this year. The email does though the state that the company will save the jokes for the next April, where that will be a whole lot brighter one than this one. 

According to an internal email that was sent by Google chief marketing officer Lorraine Twohill, Google will "take the year off from that tradition out of respect for all those fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Our highest goal right now is to be helpful to people, so let's save the jokes for next April, which will undoubtedly be a whole lot brighter than this one." It goes on to state, "We've already stopped any centralised April Fool's efforts but realize there may be smaller projects within teams that we don't know about." he  also asks the teams to cancel any jokes they might have planned both internally or externally."
