Gurugram gets movement pass through GMDA mobile app

Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has developed a mobile phone app named “Movement Pass”. With this, the residents of the city can obtain official permission to step out of their homes for essential supplies.

For this, the residents should approach GMDA's Mobile app where the Movement pass can be applied through online process and with requisite documents and reason. After approval, the Movement Pass will be issued electronically with a QR code and the copy of the issued pass will be sent to the applicant’s mobile and email ID.


The residents of the Gurugram district can get several facilities related to the coronavirus problem, including Government notifications, information about hospitals, pharmacy, Test Centres and Isolation Centres for COVID-19 patients through this app. The people can also avail several other facilities like complaints about water, sewer, meter, drainage, lighting, parking, waterlogging, city bus location and road information etc, throught the mobile App.

According to GMDA data, around 20,604 requests for Movement Pass were received and 6,953 are issued after scrutiny of documents submitted and reasons indicated by the applicants. The mobile app also provides information related to the Covid-19 epidemic across the state. 
Sonal Goel, additional CEO of GMDA said "Mobile App is a useful Integrated one-point Informative solution for citizens of Gurugram to connect with administration, access govt services, make utility payments, has special enablers during Covid-19 virus and Smart Solutions etc. We request the citizens to use it to the maximum."
