How to Apply?

Step 1: Log on to the Telangana police portal @ policeportal.tspolice.gov.in.

Step 2: There are three options seen on the website, ‘Essential Service Pass’, ‘Lockdown Pass Within the state’, and ‘Lockdown Pass for another state’. Choose the option required.

Step 3: Once you click on the option for which you want to get the pass

Step 4: An OTP is sent to the registered mobile number.

Step 5: Once you enter the OTP, you are taken to the next page for filling in your personal details.

Step 6: Fill in all the required Personal details. The information asked are as follows:

• Pass Holder Name

• Contact Mobile No.

• Aadhar No

• Reason for pass

• Required Pass for

• Vehicle Type

• Route Details

• Pass validity Period

• Correspondence Address

• Transport Details

• Photo of the applicant 

• KYC Document

• Jurisdiction Name

The issue of e passes by the state government shall be subject to conditions viz., Resident of individual / office location/area of movement

 Step 7: The Telangana police classified stranded people into six types of stranded labour, stranded student, stranded tourist, stranded family, essential services employee, medical emergency. 

Step 8: You can choose the category which best suits you and then click on it and submit.

Step 9: Once submitted it asks for a photo to be pasted on your pass. Upload a legible photo and submit your application.

Step 7: For faster verification of your curfew pass, you can also upload certain supporting documents like ‘College ID’, ‘tickets’. You will receive a registration ID and a message that the police will verify your status and update you about your application.

Do AP Govt issue E pass for people coming from Hyderabad (RTC buses)?

Many of the AP native people living and working in Hyderabad were urgently trying to return to their hometowns, as the lockdown in Telangana was extended until May 29. Nevertheless, the AP police did not honor the e-passes provided by the Telangana police, and people were sent back from the inter-state border at the Garikapadu check post, much to their deception. 

With no job or income for the past two months and another idle month ahead, for all these days, private workers and business owners were urgently attempting to cross the state border with families in their vehicles. Still, they were stopped by the AP police, as they had strict government orders.

Finally, the government agreed to grant e-passes for the entry into AP to 8,000 citizens from Hyderabad and 5,000 from the surrounding areas. E-passes will only be issued to those who registered on spandana.ap.gov.in, and they will be transported in APSRTC buses.

Telangana Police: Confirms E-pass valid for round-trip travel

Telangana police confirmed that the e-pass for the vehicle and the driver would be valid for a round trip.  A person in some other state picks his family stranded, then he/she can come back to Telangana with the same pass. But stranded family members need to get clearance from that department, said Police Commissioner, Rachakonda.
