Indian Red Cross Society provides relief materials for COVID-19 on its 100th year

Indian Red Cross Society completes 100 years of service. To celebrate the special occasion on #WorldRedCrossday2020, Indian Red Cross has put forth efforts by its staff and volunteers to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indian Red Cross Society distributes of relief materials for COVID-19

Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Union Minister of Science & Technology, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare flagged off the distribution of relief materials across the country from the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) headquarters New Delhi.

The COVID-19 relief supplies from IRCS consist of over 1,00,000 face masks, 4000 surgical gloves, body bags, 100 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits, 2400 bottles of hand sanitizers, and other materials. the material will be distributed by IRCS volunteers.

He lauded the selfless service offered by over 40,000 Red Cross volunteers who are providing aid in around 550 districts. He also added that the "distribution of #COVID19 relief material is a testimonial of the organization's inimitable dedication towards society."
