Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who was tested positive for COVID19, was admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, on March 20. She was discharged from the hospital after the sixth examination, which was tested negative for the virus.

According to the ANI report, a health specialist from SGPGIMS had announced that her fifth COVID19 test result had come negative, and she had to stay hospitalized until the next test showed negative. The singer had earlier visited crowded gatherings despite the government’s orders, which led to her infection of the highly contagious virus. She has been booked by the Lucknow police under sections 188, 269, 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), for not isolating herself for 14 days.
