Karnataka Conducts Online Chess Tournament to Collect Funds for CM COVID-19 Relief.

The Karnataka Youth Empowerment and Sports Department and United Karnataka Chess Association and initiated an online chess tournament to raise funds for CM COVID-19 Relief fund. Former World Champion chess player Viswanathan Anand has also spoken about this on Twitter. Check out more details here.

Online Chess Competition in Karnataka.

The announcement from The Karnataka Youth Empowerment and Sports Department and United Karnataka Chess Association about an online chess tournament to raise funds for CM COVID-19 Relief fund have gathered 10,000 chess players to participate in the competition. The chess players across the country can register on the Mobile Premier League gaming platform by donating Rs. 50. The tournament is to be held on May 2nd and 3rd. 
Sports Minister CT Ravi has also requested the chess players to participate in the event titled Checkmate COVID-19. The total prize pool is Rs. 10 lakh and the first prize will be Rs. 1 lakh.
