What are the different types of Ration Card issued in Karnataka?
There are four different ration cards that are issued to citizens based on their financial conditions as well as the level of income. The various types of ration cards issued to Karnataka citizens are
Priority House Hold (PHH) Ration Cards
Annapurna Yojna (AY) Ration Cards
Antyodaya Anna Yojna (AAY) Ration Cards
Non-Priority House Hold (NPHH) Ration Cards
Priority House Hold (PHH) Ration Cards: This type of PHH ration cards are issued to citizens who are part of the state's rural areas. PHH category RCs are further broken down into 2 subgroups to provide monthly subsidized food grains. Rice can now be produced at Rs. 3 per Kg, wheat at Rs . 2 per Kg and coarse grains at Rs . 1 per Kg.
Annapurna Yojna (AY) Ration Cards: Annapurna Yojana ration cards are issued to poor citizens older than 65. The state govt gives them 10 Kg of food grains per month.
Antyodaya Anna Yojna (AAY) Ration Cards: AYY ration cards are provided to households with an annual income of under Rs. 15,000. These families are getting cheaper prices of food grains than other holders of ration cards. These households get Rs. 3 per kg of rice, and Rs. 2 per kg of wheat.
Non-Priority House Hold (NPHH) Ration Cards: NPHH ration cards are issued to those families whose annual income is stable.

Visit Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department official website
Click on E-services tab
Under e-Ration Card select New Ration Card
Choose preferred language
Then click on New Ration card request
Choose the type of ration card
Enter the Aadhaar number and click GO
After successful verification authenticate with fingerPrint verification and OTP
When OTP option is selected an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number
Type the OTP number and click on GO
After successful verification, Aadhaar details will be displayed
Click on Add button to get the application number
Fill the details and submit the application form
