Lathicharge on violators of Lockdown in Kalburgi

The restrictions imposed in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka have been extended till May 7 in a bid to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Deputy Commissioner Sharat B said on Thursday. The imposition of Section 144 Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) has been extended till May 7, 2020. There is no restriction on the movement of people rendering or availing essential services. Violators were Lathi Charged.

Prolonged Lockdown in Kalaburagi

The restrictions levied in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka were prolonged until May 7 in a bid to keep COVID-19 from spreading, Deputy Commissioner Sharat B said Thursday. Section 144 Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) has been extended until 7 May 2020. There is no restriction on the movement of people who render essential services or use them. Police resorts to lathi charge citizens who have been identified breaching the Kalaburagi #COVID19 lockdown. CrPc section 144 was extended throughout the district until 7 May 2020.
