All Government Employees to Install Aarogya Setu

The Department of Personnel and Training has given an order today that all government workers will download the "Aarogya setu" app and only enter the workplace if they obtain a go-ahead from the device. The order extends to all staff employees employed with the Central Government, including outsources workers. The government has made it compulsory for all autonomous and statutory bodies and Public Sector Units to follow this rule. An Official memorandum has been issued followed by the instruction.

Steps to Use the Apps

Step 1: Before starting for work, the employees must review their status and commute only when the app shows 'safe' or 'low risk' status, the order titled "Effective use of 'Aarogyasetu' App for breaking the chain of transmission of COVID-19" said.

Step 2: In case the App shows a message that he/she has a "moderate" or "high risk" calculated on the basis of Bluetooth proximity ("recent contact with an infected person"), he /she should not come to office and self-isolate for 14 days or till the status becomes 'safe' or 'low risk'," the order further read.
