VidyaDaan 2.0 program

Regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic, the national lockdown lasted to May 3, colleges, and universities across the country were forced to move their classes online. In a statement released on Wednesday, the ministry said the program had been launched "because of the urgent need to combine digital media with media to improve learning."

The program encourages individuals and groups, both in school and higher education, to contribute to online resources.

The content will be used for access by students across the country on MHRD's Diksha website, which was launched in 2017. Diksha has over 80,000 e-books for Classes 1-12 approved by the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The ministry also said that contributions for teacher training content would soon be invited from the program. Protection Status
