Mark Calculation formula for 1st and 2nd year

As per the announcement, the first and second-year students of the state universities will be promoted using a 50-50 percent gradation formula. Under this method, 50 percent weightage will be given to performances in previous years and 50 percent weightage will be given to their current year performances.

Expert Committee Decision

On Thursday, Sawant tweeted that the Committee of Vice-Chancellors had presented their report to the government. The suggestions and recommendations were discussed in detail with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

The education minister tweeted “The Examinations for Higher and Technical Education will be declared on 08/05/2020 at 1 pm,” on Thursday.

The announcement comes after the report submitted by an expert committee. The committee was formed to create a concrete plan for the current and upcoming academic year. The committee was constituted of the vice-chancellors of state universities, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), and directors of state Common Entrance Test (CET) division, among other experts. The final decision on conducting the exams will be taken around 20 June depending upon the prevailing COVID-19 condition in the state.

Previously, Aaditya Thackeray on Thursday had tweeted on the road map for university students that the government is planning to release within a maximum of 2 days. To students who were worried about exams, he had said to calm down and trust the Minister. "Like I said, it will be a plan that is fair to all," he had tweeted on Thursday.
