Now stop people from randomly adding you to WhatsApp groups

Have a family member or friends ever added it to a WhatsApp community, with a background you don't agree with at any point, and it soon starts to feel like an annoyance, or does any conversation start to feel like pulling teeth? You've always felt compelled to leave a group because you don't want to let your bestie down who's in the group or your cousin or sibling because they really enjoy the group.

Here's how it works

Are you an introvert who leaves you with a headache and fires your anxiety rates relentlessly back and forth inside a dozen WhatsApp groups? Yeah, there's been a lot of people there, and occasionally WhatsApp Groups start feeling like a hostage situation.

Group chats are the best way to connect as a community, and they also carry a sense of camaraderie among family members, work colleagues, acquaintances, and even strangers united by common goals.

WhatsApp, however, also has a feature that prevents you from being added to groups randomly without your consent or being inserted into groups at all.

Follow the steps:

  • Open your WhatsApp application

  • Click on the three green dots at the upper right of your WhatsApp display and select settings

  • Next, you click the accounts feature

  • Tap The privacy option

  • Select the groups feature, which will display three options, 'Everybody, ''My Contacts ', and 'Nobody.'

  • Choose any one option on who you want to be added

However, bear in mind that only group admins will give you a private invitation to join the group if you choose the 'Nobody' option. If you want to be a member of the group, you accept the request; otherwise, you decline. Protection Status
