PM Modi To Communicate Via Video Conferencing with all Village Sarpanchs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be speaking to village panchayats around the country on Friday at 11 a.m to mark National Panchayati Raj Day amid lockdown.

On Friday Prime Minister Narendra Modi will talk to village panchayats around the country to mark National Panchayati Raj Day at am. PM Modi can communicate with the participants through videoconference due to the lockdown caused by Coronavirus. All Sarpanchs will be able to join this interaction through Doordarshan, from their respective homes adhering to social distancing norms, the official statement said. 

To mark the occasion, PM Modi will launch a unified e-CramSwaraj portal and a mobile app. The unified portal is a new initiative of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to provide the village panchayats with a single interface to prepare and implement their gram panchayat development plan (CPDP).

On the occasion, the statement stated, PM Modi would initiate the Swamitva Scheme too. The system provides for rural India with an advanced land validation solution. Demarcation of inhabited land in rural areas would be done by the use of the latest surveying methods drone technology with the collaborated efforts of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, State Panchayati Raj Department, State Revenue Department and the Survey of India.

This year, three such awards Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Cram Sabha Puraskar (NDRCCSP), Child-friendly Cram Panchayat Award (CFCPA) and Cram Panchayat Development Plan (CPDP) Award have been finalized, the statement said.
