Pradhama Shiksha Yojana 2020:

Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Pre matric scholarship is an IBG Ventures CSR initiative in collaboration with the Child Fund for the Welfare of Minorities. The Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Scholarship is open for the students of Kerala and TN only. 30% Scholarship is reserved for girls under the Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Scholarship.   

What is the Objective of Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Scholarship 2020?

The pre-matric-level scholarship would allow parents from disadvantaged and minority communities to send their children to school, reduce their financial burden on school education, and maintain their efforts to help their children complete schooling.

Who is Eligible for Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Scholarship 2020?

• The scholarship is open to Indian nationals.

• The scholarship is now open for Kerala and Tamil Nadu only.

• Applicants pursuing their class XI and XII are eligible for Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Post Matric Scholarships.

• Candidates should have passed a qualifying exam in the current year 2019-20.

• Applicants who have passed earlier are not eligible.

• Students receiving a scholarship from any other source are not eligible for the Scholarship.

• 30% of Scholarship is reserved for girl students.

• 20% of Scholarship is reserved for disabled students.

What is the Selection Process of Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Scholarship 2020?

• This would accept students who are enrolled in a full-time research programme. 

• The academic qualification is as follows: The scholarship is open in 3 categories; 

• Category A - 50% aggregate in class 1 to 5

• Category B - 60% aggregate in class 5 to 10

• Category C - 50% aggregate for Children with disabilities

Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Scholarship 2020 Value:

Based on locations, the recipient of Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Scholarship will get up to Rs. 75, 000.

Conditions for Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Pre-Matric Scholarship 2020:

• In respect of the student's parent/guardian, an income certificate issued by a competent authority in the State / UT government is required. 

• Continuation of award (for Renewal applicants) in the previous year's test will be subject to obtaining 50 percent points.

• Hostellers and day-scholars will be given maintenance allowance. 

• No more than two students from one family will receive a scholarship

• Under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode, the course/tuition fees and maintenance allowance will be credited to the student's bank account. 

• To this end, the student who receives benefits under this scheme will not be allowed to take advantage of benefits under any other scheme.

• As for administration and application processing, an amount of Rs 100 will be charged at the time of the application process.

The deadline to apply for the Pradhama Shiksha Yojana Scholarship 2020 is July 1, 2020.
