Rajasthan: Pregnant woman denied admission to hospital; baby dies after delivery

Janana Hospital staff in Bharatpur in Rajasthan reportedly denied accepting a pregnant woman who was in labour, because she belonged to Islamic faith. In the midst of the prevalent turmoil caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a shocking case of religious discrimination has come to light from the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan where a pregnant woman, who was in labour, was allegedly refused admission to a hospital by the workers on account of her religion and was referred to another hospital in Jaipur.
