Ranbir Kapoor is an Indian filmmaker and artist. He is one of Hindi cinema's highest-paid stars and has been listed in the Celebrity 100 list of Forbes India since 2012. Kapoor has won numerous awards including six Filmfare Awards.

Early Life

Kapoor was born in Bombay (now Mumbai) on 28 September 1982 to Rishi and Neetu, both actors in the Hindi film industry. He is Prithviraj Kapoor's great-grandchild and actor-director Raj's grandson. His elder niece, Riddhima (born 1980), is a fashion designer and interior designer. His first cousins are Actresses Karisma and Kareena Kapoor. Kapoor was educated at the Bombay Scottish School in Mahim. As a student, he found little interest in academics and would rank low among his peers. However, he has stated that he performed better in sports, particularly football.
