The message, which also shows Tata's picture and suggests it's been written by him, reads, "Experts are predicting major economic downturn due to the Corona. For these experts, I don't know much. Yet I know for sure they know little about the importance of human energy and resolute efforts.

Here is the fake message

Ratan Tata took about two hours ago to debunk the false claim into his official Twitter account. He explained in a post that he did not say or write the letter. He added further that it would be through his official social media handles if he had to give a statement.

"This post has neither been said nor written by me. I urge you to verify media circulated on WhatsApp and social platforms," he wore and shared the image of the message.

Tata's Twitter post prompted a flood of responses, and there was a lot for people to say. "WhatsApp, the idea works for university students! , "a Twitter user joked. "Thank you, Sir, for the explanation," another thanked. "Most people use your name for expressing their feelings," another tweeted. "Seeing by many people posting this as their WhatsApp status, they'll be sent this tweet," wrote a third.
