Red Zones in Gujarat: Nine Gujarat districts in the Red Zones Area

 

Red Zones in Gujarat: Due to the increase of corona cases  Gujarat currently has nine Red Zone districts. The Gujarat government has also decided to stop some services in the Red Zone area. With the new Govt guidelines, green and orange zones will have some relaxation in restrictions. The list of Gujarat Red Zones 9 Districts are Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Banaskantha, Panchmahal, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, Aravalli.

Gujarat on Containment Zones

Police also agreed to absolutely prohibit citizens going inside and out of the containment region. "Now, there will be only one entry and exit point," said DGP Shivanand Jha on Sunday. He said there will be an extra vigil for people venturing out of their houses during the night. Jha said no relaxation, except for selling and buying of essential items, will be given in red zones like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Bhavnagar and the municipal jurisdiction of Gandhinagar. He said relaxation will also not be given in areas like Bhopal, Khambhat, Bareja, Godhra, and municipality areas of Umreth. He said in Rajkot and Botad districts, though in the orange zone, lockdown will be implemented as in the red zones and no relaxation will be given. Jha said that the cops are on their toes and are mainly focussing on areas where there are more infections, besides vegetable markets and grocery stores. Total Nine Districts are under Red Zone
