Grosjean's new team

It's a proud moment to launch my own sim racing team because I'm passionate about motorsport, creativity and welcome new challenges, "Grosjean said.

Grosjean said he believed the team would help give drivers the chance to make the next move from sim racing to being on the real-world track. We've all seen the driver talent emerging from sim racing and this is amazing, "said Grosjean. Our goal is to reward those drivers who have the potential to race for real and try to improve them. For anyone involved with the R8 G Sim Racing Team, this is an exciting prospect.

Grosjean is working on the project with a number of his personal and team members at Haas, including Richard Mille and MindMaze.

The team also works closely with Triple-A e-Sports, which has already enjoyed success with drivers, including DTM racer Daniel Juncadella at a number of Esport events in recent weeks.

With Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, George Russell, Alexander Albon, Antonio Giovinazzi, Nicholas Latifi and Carlos Sainz, Grosjean is the new F1 driver to join the world of Esports.

The new Virtual Grand Prix event, held in a place of the Chinese Grand Prix last weekend, was attended by over one-third of the F1 grid, with attendance numbers each weekend.

Grosjean has yet to attend any of the F1 Esports events himself but had a sim set-up shipped earlier this month. Protection Status
