Lady Gaga revealed the event

At the Home gathering, a mix of music, comedy and stories from doctors, nurses and supermarket staff also announced an annual six-hour streaming experience that will include appearances by major sports stars including British Formula One racing champion Lewis Hamilton, U.S. women's soccer player Megan Rapinoe, World Cup skier Lindsey Vonn and hundreds of other singers, actors and social media influencers.

The streaming event on April 18 will precede the two-hour show to be shown on Saturday evening through several North American and international television networks in the biggest attempt to demonstrate unity with frontline workers so far.

Lady Gaga revealed the event last week but has since significantly expanded and now features some of the world's biggest celebrities, including Celine Dion, Billie Eilish, John Legend, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Chris Martin, Andrea Bocelli, and Michael Buble.

While the special isn't billed as a public fundraiser, it also aims to inspire philanthropists and companies to reach into their pockets and donate to the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund of the WHO. Lady Gaga announced last week that companies had raised more than USD 35 million.
