Indian Festival Ram Navami Has Been Celebrated Across India This Year During This Lockdown


Ram Navami is celebrated all over India on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri. Today, being the auspicious day, the celebrations are restricted to homes due to coronavirus outbreak and lockdown. Here’s how you can celebrate Ram Navami at home:

  • Prepare Prasad

  • Read Ramayana or other holy scripts 

  • Educate your children about ancient epics 

Below given are rules that have to be followed during the fast.

The devotees have a choice of three fasts:

  • Fast from midnight to noon at 12 pm

  • Fast from midnight till midnight at 12 am

  • Having one meal a day

The one time meal can consist of fruits, shakes, milk or water-based beverages, or also potatoes without garlic, onion, ginger, and turmeric.
