UP Bans Public Gathering Till June 30 Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officers that the coronavirus epidemic will not allow any public meeting in the state until June 30. "The chief minister has instructed officers not to allow a public meeting until June 30th. More decisions will be taken based on the circumstance," tweeted CM Yogi Adityanath.

The chief minister arranged a conference on the COVID-19 situation with chairpersons of 11 committees. There are 1,621 instances of coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh including 247 cured/discharged and 25 deaths according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The 1,621 cases of Uttar Pradesh placed it at number 7 in terms of the number of cases for all of India's states and union territories. Within the country, Maharashtra continues to have the most cases with 6817, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
