A Simple Step

Famous instant messaging service WhatsApp released a fun new function in sticker shape in 2018. The app is essential for iOS and Android users alike. WhatsApp's native sticker set, though, is currently very small. Luckily, there's a way around this: you can make your own custom WhatsApp stickers that are more important to you and that represent your own interests, culture, and environment.

If you want to add custom stickers on WhatsApp, but don’t want to create an app to do so, or like me, have limited coding knowledge, this article will show you how to create and use your own custom WhatsApp stickers.

Download Sticker Maker

Step 1:  To design your own stickers, go to the Google Play Store and download an app named "WhatsApp Sticker Maker" or, instead, go download the app here. Download the software on your Android smartphone, and open it, to build a new sticker set you will have an interface like this.

Step 2: If you press 'Create a new sticker pack' you will be asked to type the name of the sticker pack along with the author's name. You can not start without entering both the name of the sticker pack and the author's name. Both must be 5 characters max.

Step 3: When this is finished, the app will ask you to attach photos to your sticker pack (above) including a lead pic. Up to 30 stickers may be applied either by choosing existing photos on your phone or by pressing a camera icon (once you have granted permission).

Step 4: You will fine-tune it after choosing a picture by choosing the region you want on your picture as your sticker. When done, if you decide to remove the sticker, the device should inquire. Click the 'Yes, save sticker' icon, and add it to your pack.

Step 5: The next move is to save your sticker pack after you've produced and attached all of the stickers. Tap the 'Publish Sticker Pack' button at the bottom and then attach the set to WhatsApp. NOTE: You can only use the sticker pack you built but you can export them to other apps.
