Gujarat 's State Government will pay another 6 percent interest to banks lending loans targeted at small business people under the Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojna (AGSY). People will need to register for this scheme by filling out the application form for Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana available online at the bank branches. The goal of this Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana scheme is to support small business people and cross-section of people falling within the lower-middle-income group. According to the Gujarat Sahay Yojna Aatmanirbhar, the loan term will be 3 years and payment of installments will begin after 6 months of loan disbursement. Approximately 10 lakh such beneficiaries will each receive Rs.1 lakh loan from banks with an annual interest of just 2 percent to start their lives under Atmanirbhar Gujarat Sahay Yojana. All the loans will be made on request, and no guarantee will be required. Gujarat government will pay the remaining 6 percent interest on bank loans. The term of these loans will be 3 years, and the repayment of principal and interest will begin after six months of the loan amount being approved.
