Indian Railways extends to Freeze Passenger Services till May 3rd

As the nationwide lockdown has been extended till May 3rd, 2020, the Indian railways has also announced that it will remain suspended for passenger services. The government has asked people to stay home and practice social distancing to keep safe from COVID-19. A senior official from the railway authority said that the decision was made after the lockdown was extended till May 3rd to fight against the coronavirus pandemic in India.
“We have taken the decision keeping in view the extended lockdown period. More updates will be available shortly,” the official said. Earlier, the passenger services were adjourned till April 14th midnight.
