Also in these days of 'social distancing' when coronavirus has turned pandemic, it is the little stuff matter. Even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked people to bear in mind the welfare of their employees, Bollywood celebrities have also directed the focus of their fans and social media followers to care sufficiently about the well-being of household help and staff members. Many television and Bollywood celebrities have voiced concern and have urged people to be considerate towards their household helps and send them a month's salary to cope with this crisis.
Actor Sonakshi Sinha posted a status on Instagram, writing, "In these days, while you are taking every measure for your protection and the protection of your children, let us not neglect the safety of our household, home, and office workers. Their lives are at the same or greater risk with his outbreak as well."
Requesting everyone to take time and effort to educate them about the virus and also offer them sanitizers and masks for them as well as their family "as they won't go get it or maybe won't have sufficient funds for it", she also wrote, "Please don't send out your household, drivers, runners or building security to run errands on your behalf or send them in crowded places. What you think is not safe for you is not safe for them either."
Even filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane expressed concern via Twitter, "What is the most effective way to explain coronavirus dos and don'ts to house help? Social distancing is not something they can afford in Bombay [Mumbai]." Singer Arjun Kanungo and actor Sayani Gupta came up with a suggestion, "Give them paid leave and explain to them how serious this is. That they should stay home and leave the house only when absolutely required," tweeted Kanungo. Actor Maniesh Paul has already paid advance salary to his staff.
