NVIDIA GeForce MX250: Lower-End Dedicated Graphics

The Nvidia GeForce MX250 is a dedicated lower-end graphics card. It's not as good as full-blown video game cards like GeForce GTX and RTX series models. However, the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 is considerably faster than other widely used integrated graphics processors. It performs close to beefed-up integrated graphics processors, such as the Intel Iris Plus series, on the other hand. As a plus compared to the integrated graphics processors, the MX250 has its own memory with a 2 GB or 4 GB capacity, so it doesn't need to use the system memory of the laptop.

There are two models of the NVIDIA GeForce MX250-the the full-performance version with a power consumption of 25 Watts and a 10-Watt version with lower performance. Unfortunately, there is usually no details on the version is included in the specifications sheets of the laptops. The 25-Watt MX250 is usually used in standard "full-size" laptops, much like the recent 15.6-inch mid-range models. Usually, the 10-Watt edition can be used on thin-and-light and ultra-portable laptops.
