Rozgar Setu Scheme:

Madhya Pradesh's CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has launched the 'Rozgar Setu' Scheme. Rozgar Setu aims to help secure employment for skilled workers returned to the state in the midst of the situation of COVID-19. Along with it, MP Govt started a portal 'MP Rojgar Setu Portal' for the unemployed migrants where they can register and find jobs relevant to their skills.

Rozgar Setu Scheme to provide Employment to Migrant Labourers:

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan has initiated a 'Rozgar Setu' scheme for skilled workers who have come back from other states.

According to the state government, Madhya Pradesh is the first to formulate such a plan of work to offer work to most of the returned skilled workers.

The government of the state will serve as a setu [bridge] between workers and employers in order to help both.

The Rozgar Setu Scheme would provide the workers with a platform and link them to those who need them, thereby meeting the manpower requirements of the industries and providing jobs for workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The government must survey the skilled workers who have been working elsewhere in industries but have now returned, based on their skills, which their expertise must provide them with jobs in factories, building works, and other activities.

What is the Eligibility Criteria to apply for Madhya Pradesh Rozgar Setu Scheme?

• Workers should have Madhya Pradesh as their permanent resident 

• Samagra ID holders, if not generate the same 

• June 3, 2020, is the last date to fill out the application online
